The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival Ranked #1 In Texas, #3 In U.S. By Art Fair SourceBook
Greg Lawler’s Art Fair SourceBook (AFSB)TM, has ranked The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival #1 in Texas and #3 in the nation for fine art sales among more than 600 art fairs in the U.S. for 2013. For fine craft sales, The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival ranked #6. Art Fair SourceBook is regarded as “the definitive guide to the best juried art and craft fairs in the U.S.”
“It is incredible that after only eight years, The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is one of the top fine art festivals in the country,” said Cindy Hardin, President of The Woodlands Waterway Arts Council, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that produces the festival annually. “Art Fair SourceBook is the ‘go to’ website for fine artists across the country, ranking the festivals by artists’ sales. This ranking acknowledges the high quality of work of our exhibitors and the deep interest and support of the community.”

A recent study also indicated that the total economic impact of The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is $8.4 million, which includes incremental spending in area shops, hotels and restaurants in addition to artists’ sales. “The festival is a real win-win for the artists, as well as local businesses in and around The Woodlands,” Hardin said.
The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is an annual juried arts festival featuring over 200 national, regional and international fine artists in a wide variety of mediums displaying their original creations along The Woodlands Waterway®. The 2014 festival is set for Saturday, April 12 from 10 am – 7 pm and Sunday, April 13 from 10 am – 5 pm.

The 2013 festival was such a success that we were able to provide over $65,000 to our art charity partners, art teachers, art students scholarships, and education and community art projects for Because Art Matters!.
