Art & Culture in Montgomery County
Welcome to the Arts In Montgomery County (AIMC)! While you are at the Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival savoring the diverse selections of fine art, be sure to stop by our new attraction and meet members from some of the non-profit performing and fine arts organizations located near your home. You can find the AIMC tent in the Town Green Park. Representatives will be there to give you first hand information about their upcoming events and how to become part of their family. In the afternoon you'll get a chance to see some of the performing artists in costume singing and acting on stage. Check out below who'll be at the festival.
Stage Right
The 75 year old historic Crighton Theatre in downtown Conroe has enjoyed the new beginning of Stage Right, the new resident theater company. In the early fall of 2008, a group of individuals with a love for the Crighton, learned that the theatre would be dark for the holiday season. In the wake of Hurricane Ike and the steady tide of economic upheaval, they found that situation simply unacceptable. Over a loaf of fresh homemade bread it was decided, "Let's put on a show!" The new company almost called itself "Fresh Bread" but settled instead on the name STAGE RIGHT of Texas. The company's name is far from arbitrary. STAGE RIGHT adheres to the strong set of core values and a vibrant showcase of great performances: Don't miss getting connected to their story and season at: http://www.stage-right.org/
